Teeth in a Day

Although most people enter adulthood with between 28 and 32 natural teeth, by the ages of 35 to 49, the average person only has approximately 25 of those natural teeth remaining. The average drops to between 22 and 23 natural teeth after age 50, and the average senior over age 65 has just 18 to 19 remaining teeth. The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research also reports that as many as 27 percent of seniors have none of their natural teeth remaining.

As the natural teeth are lost, many dental patients want a permanent prosthetic solution that will mimic the look and function of natural teeth. Furthermore, they want to avoid spending many months in the treatment process, such as is often associated with dental implants. .

Teeth in a Day: A Fast Solution for Prosthetic Dentistry

“Teeth in a Day” is a revolutionary way of removing the natural teeth and replacing them with a permanent set of prosthetic teeth – all in a single treatment. The process begins with a complete oral health evaluation used to determine whether a patient is a candidate for the Teeth in a Day procedure. The treatment is ideal for patients who have no remaining healthy teeth and who do not want to battle the embarrassment or maintenance issues associated with dentures. .

Patients who qualify are fitted for prosthesis and a procedure date is scheduled. During the procedure, all of the remaining natural teeth are removed, as well as any diseased gum tissues. Titanium implants are surgically placed into the bone to anchor the new teeth, and a temporary prosthesis is put in place to remain for several months until the implants have had time to fuse to the bone. At this time, the temporary teeth are removed, and a permanent set of prosthetic teeth are anchored to the implants.
